Allium Cepa (Onion) is a perennial bulbous plant with a height of 60 to 100 cm. The root system of Onion is fibrous, underdeveloped; because it is located shallow, thin roots penetrate to a depth of 60 cm. The bulb is flattened-spherical or oblong. Depending on the species, onion shells are yellow-brown, reddish, purple or white in color. The stem is thick, hollow, slightly inflated below the middle. The leaves are juicy, straight, pointed. Onion flowers are inconspicuous, develop on long (up to 20-30 cm) pedicels, have bracts, are collected in a multi-flowered spherical dense umbrella inflorescence.
