Sapindus mukorossi, also known as Reetha, Indian soapberry, or soap nut, is a deciduous tree that is found in South Asia and some regions of East Asia. It usually reaches a height of about 12–20 meters. The tree bears round fruits called soapnuts, which contain natural saponins. These fruits have been traditionally recognized for their cleansing nature and are often used in personal care and household preparations. Beyond their practical applications, the tree is valued for its cultural and natural significance.
